Music with Robots Workshop

In this hands-on workshop. Musician and Educator Mark Towers will be leading a collaborative session to design and build a robot using Lego Mindstorm kits and Ableton, a digital audio workstation (DAW) used for music production and performance.

No prior experience is necessary, but this workshop would be ideal for anyone with an artistic practice involving music technology, hardware hacking or interactive installations. The work will be based around previous interactive exhibits Mark has presented for Ableton at Superbooth Berlin and will be collaboratively built during the day as part of the Robots for a Safer World Exhibition during COMPUTALA 2026.

As LCB Depot is not open to the public on weekends, participants will need to meet at the back entrance gates on Colton Street to be let into the gallery a little before the start time.
